HOMES FOR THE HOMELESS

Refugees often land in Turkey nearly penniless. They find housing by moving into a single room of an apartment shared by several other families. They will spend years sleeping on the floor with their children in a little room, often with very little light.

By moving families of widows and orphans into small inexpensive apartments, it gives them a chance to get back on their feet and the opportunity to plan their future. Often a family’s new living room is larger than their entire previous residence.

With a gift of 1200 EU / $1300, you can move a widow and her children into a "safe haven". Our volunteers provide follow-up for the families and seek ways for them to generate income in the coming years.
