Supporting refugee widows and orphans in Turkey and sub-Saharan Africa.

Giving Tuesday 2025 Results: Seeds of Hope for South Sudanese Refugees

Because of your generous giving, we recently supplied 300 kilos of corn seeds to Sudanese and South Sudanese refugees — helping them build self-sufficiency through farming rather than temporary food relief. As the old proverb reminds us: give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach him to fish and you feed him for a lifetime!

Last Giving Tuesday, you showed up for South Sudanese refugees — thank you. Your gifts keep us operational in Africa so we can continue projects like the one you see above.

You can still donate on our Giving Tuesday Page at the following link:

See your giving in action — making a real difference for South Sudanese refugees!

Our model of care

We rescue the most vulnerable refugee families by providing food aid seeds, educational support, and guidance on their path to self-sufficiency.

Medical Homes for Refugee Children undergoing treatment 2018 -2025

Every year hundreds of refugee children with medical issues benefit from our safe and welcoming homes while they receive treatment in Turkey.

With the end of the Syrian Civil War, we closed our medical homes in March of 2025. We continue to provide translation services and aid to refugee children with cancer in Türkiye.

  • A young girl with curly hair sitting on a cardboard box next to a pink wall with peeling paint. The girl is wearing a gray hoodie with geometric patterns and blue pants. She is barefoot and smiling at the camera.

    Food Security for Refugee Families

Over 150 very needy refugee families in Turkey and Uganda receive regular food packages. These food boxes provide staples for a minimum of two weeks and are literally a life saver for refugee families struggling to rebuild their lives.

  • A young girl sitting on a floral-patterned sofa, holding a music textbook labeled 'MÜZİK 2. SINIF' with a note that reads 'BELASAR BAGDAD.' She is wearing a red shirt with stars, a red headband, and black sparkly pants. There is a colorful unicorn-themed backpack to her left and a yellow pillow to her right.

    Sponsorship for Vulnerable Refugee Girls

For years, 90 refugee students in Turkey received monthly financial aid. With the end of the Syrian civil war and many students returning home, 20 students remain on our program today.

These sponsorships provide financial aid to enable students to attend school and further their education, thereby empowering them to attain an improved quality of life.

  • A young boy wearing a denim baseball cap and a green long-sleeve shirt, smiling while blowing bubbles inside a bright room.

    Smile Learning Center 2020- 2025

Together with a local Turkish charity we operate a learning center for Syrian children with cancer who have missed school for years.

They catch up on their studies in English, Arabic and art. There is also a playroom for toddlers and young children.
