Ramadan in Türkiye and Syria

During Ramadan 2025, we partnered with Turkish charity Anything for A Smile and Global Medical Foundation Australia to distribute over 1,000 food packages to families in Turkey and Syria.

In Syria, these food boxes reached internally displaced people who have been forced to relocate multiple times throughout the ongoing conflict. With average monthly wages in Syria falling below $20, these food packages—each worth more than a typical family's monthly income—provided crucial support to vulnerable communities.

The situation in Syria remains dire: nine out of ten people live below the poverty line, one in four are unemployed, and approximately one in three endure extreme poverty. For those in tent cities, daily life presents significant challenges, including outdoor sanitation facilities and bitter cold winters.
